2. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

Welcome, welcome to every one
I would like to tell ya all how the west was won
First we take the good which could be anything nice
A good looking girl, or some swell at knights
Next up is the bad like a big bad wolf
and when shit goin I wouldn’t wear a red hood
but last is the worst for when it gets ugly
talking lies, takin bribes like hansie cronje
but its great, cos there’s some struggle in the burbs
Between the lines its blurred as u listen for my reverb
With Pollies pumping more spin that Shane Warne’s leggies
Talking more shit than a Ddennis Cometti
No confetti, cos this is just a marriage of some words
It’s a case of something new and some shit you’ve never heard
Take the the bad with good, with easy and the hard
Just an individual in the system trying to stay on guard

Drunk chicks tryin' to hug me,
Pricks tryin' to mug me,
I take the good, with the bad and the ugly.
Trust me, don't rush me,
I take the good, with the bad and the ugly.

Leroys verse coming soon

Flows like groper searchin out the ocean floor
Like scientific discoveries that the public can’t ignore
We've got Al Gore, spittin an inconvenient truth
and with the planet slowly dying its not enough to say struth!
We got the wealth, we got the poverty and then we got the war
Most don’t give a shit unless its’a footy score
But we adore and guffaw over the tabloid papers
Mass media fed celebs repeating the same old capers
Cos its about time we came to an understanding
For every hero there’s a villain but I do my own damn thing
Demanding, withstanding, living life without planning
Im just tryin to find a balance without all the hassling

Leroys verse coming soon

3. The Last One
Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

I got my breath back and I'm on top of that fact
No collapse I continue on the long and winding track
With a clickety clack I don't lack tunes powered by mac
Clickety clack, clickety clack a sound track of rap
It's like that in some way from day to day
I might choose which parts of myself to display
And portray a self worth first think for a second
My heads like a toop and toop open inspection
New direction, suspection, creates a new path
Brand new start a fresh breath an untamed heart
My visions are clear impulsive unrehearsed
Collected thoughts emmerse in each verse
To verse words can disperse herds
Maintain flight sight doing words are verbs
lt's like getting in a fight might make you feel better
Instead letting in the light could be the best thing ever

Better not stand too close to the rain
Fears for the soul, heartaches and pains
If you look around there’s much to gain
But nothing ever changes when you stay the same
So come and sing along cos we sing as one
Laughter is key as we chase the sun
Take a deep breath clean air in the lungs
Try live each day like its the last one

The struggle goes on, shows on, lights off, not lost
not found, lump in the throat but too scared to cough
not soft, not breathing, never seething, daytime seizing
seeing is believing, carpe diem and all that
a greater yearning or an illness like a heart attack,
face facts, fix cracks, the built in armory’s got my back
cos the long night I face are filled with pitch black!
At night I don’t sleep, I just ask myself questions
Suggestions, impressions, try not repress them
I caress them like a lesson, never the less then,
Im gonna make it a point to try and address them
Ya feeling this? cos I kinda put it down to experience
Im serious now but I laugh and get delirious
The simple things the life is what Ive come to appreciate
ive only got one slice but I want the whole cake

4. Back In Business
Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

There's sixty GB's shuffling, HB's coupling
I got a fresh mode like ugly duckling
Struggling, suffering for lyrical fitness
Put a shout out, can I get a witness?
We're back in business, seem to miss this
I spit test microphone linguistics
Statistics never lie never do I sigh
I'm too shy why I never know where by
I stand and disperse this, pursed lips
Forget about a hook the whole verse sticks
ln cursive fïrstly I scribble on the spirax
Figure a bigger picture than imax
Line backs face facts stop me in my tracks
These lyrics deliver punch like Tyson packs
All right chaps stand back I spit like a llama
Eat the microphone up like a banana

Da na na, da nah nah na da na na (cos we're back in business)
Da na na, da nah nah na da na na (cos we're back in business)

Open up the office cos we’re back in business
We took a short a break but shit did we miss
Got pressing paperwork that needs a signatory witness
On treadmills I rip this, microphone fitness
The quickness, flows like scrabble get the dictionary
Alphabet exercise wordsmith visionary
Doctors check my pulse it’s 96 beats a minute
No stress just love for the streets that I visit
When im o/s im best cos my hearts so in it
never quit it, gotta live it to the fullest and I wing it
with loops like doing laps on a track better that
than sitting back getting fat cos I don’t need that
As we ease to the evening, it’s beats that I’m breeding
fire up the mpc and check the seedlings
these things are pleasing lyrics that need reading
im a slave to the cause thru nights cold and freezing

Get ya cameraphones out we’re gonna televise the revolution
No commercial breaks just ideas and new solutions
Forget intelligent design flyin in the face of evolution
Ya tell lies long enough and ya left with mind pollution
Words are my curse like the falling tower of babel
When writers block hits it’s like im mentally unstable
Voices in my head shit spew food cable
Im unstable, but I got a business like approach
I get the job done without the need for a coach

Now back to basics I stand to face this
First steps, new tracks, and strange places
Seek to discover, reach to recover
Twisted thoughts converge on one another
My pen gathers dust as I bust freestyles
Off the dome off the cusp enough is enough
Its too little too late to make mistakes
I walk a thin line and only play high stakes

5. Waiting For Sunshine
Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

I've got my pen moving from left to right
Connected by alliegence to my inflight psych
Where moments of madness create moments of movement
Teror reigns had to bathe in the confusion
Disillusioned, fragments, portions of my mind combined
Like cheese with fine wine
We've all got scars and scars can run deep
When small steps start they don't start with your feet
It's a mind thing, it's about waiting for timing
When I put pen to paper and start rhyming
Excellent strategies, some analogies
I got the pills and the cream for the allergies
Similarities, yeh some apparently
While others see straight through mine with clarity
Disparaging as moments of self doubt creep in
When I'm drinking and thinking I start sinking
Low no where to turn no where to go
Bridged the distance between us now it's started to slow
Just like my flow
Bridged the distance between us now it's started to slow

I let the beat roll fingers hover above the keyboard
I take a deep breath… and pull the rip cord
Cos honesty lies right here in the lyric
A whisper in the wind like a ghostly spirit
Clouded by encryption, founded by an addiction
I walk to my own beat with conviction
An independent soul living the life of a bachelor
a fridge to store beer and a hardly used spatula
a scar on the heart like the burn from a stove
every now and then I think of Ladbroke grove
but the years fade away and the past is in the past
(hindsight is great) to learn that love won’t always last
But maturity comes to those who face a struggle
from being being robbed on the street to a Sunday morning snuggle
the latter is where it’s at cos it’s the hearts time to speak
if theres a soulmate for me will we get the chance to meet?
Hold the beat… first I gotta let down my guard…
Im thinking if it’s the right time it shouldn’t be that hard
Like a pokerhand I keep my cards close to my chest
Soak up every minute and make the most of what’s left…
What’s best? An independent life or feathered nest
I got food shelter and clothing and some space for a guest
Walls crumble to that the city of Berlin can atest
But if all you need is love then I guess I’m not blessed

So if this is all that’s left and I can’t expect more
If the all lines are cut and hopes heading out the door
If the candle flicker fades while I’m laying on the floor
Do I face another day or just threaten to withdraw
Or find an inner strength and try a seek a new beginning
Stand against the current and let my mind stop spinning
Take it day by day until that time that I’m winning
But for now I stand alone and you can hear me singin

6. Fuel For The Fire

Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

I need a sweet heart we'd never be apart
Attractive and caring real bright and street smart
Stars would collide all feelings aside
A connection we'd share would never subside
Words into verses and verses to persons
Poetry in motion assumption and assertion
And versions of content and contempt
Reflections on time that were much better spent
I distance myself and breathe a sombre tone
Resisting sms on the mobile phone
No more time alone I think my time has come
I think I've gone and finally found myself the one

I need a sweetheart, like fuel for the fire
Burns so bright, highlights my empire
I got a deep heart, and things take time
A soul mate for life ain’t easy to find

Scribbles on a page like notes from beyond
a fine line to tread ya can’t wave a magic wand
flames flicker in the wind and some burn out
no crystal ball guide to see how it all works out
but fates a funny thing if stuff happens for a reason
are u living for yourself or is there someone that your pleasing
is it written in the stars or are you searching too hard
sometimes it kinda feels like you’ve played your last card
where you can see the truth and but the edge is a little blurred
confusion makes it harder to spell a four letter word
it’s easier said than done to let words sink in
forget about the past and throw caution to the wind
im thinking, take the blinders from eyes stop squinting
sixteen lines connect the dots see what im hinting
the treasures of world aren’t found in precious metal
see the window to the soul look beyond the sentimental

Fate holds the cards that could make or break
A soulmate for life or the beginning of hate
You cant burn the frre until you've gathered the wood
No stone unturned in your neighbourhood
Who you gonna call when your heart starts breaking
What you gonna do when it wont stop aching
Mistaking start facing
The lonely condition of whats growing impatience
And tasting the good with the bad
Embracing the happy and the sad
Like a fine mature and age gracefully
A journey like this better done gradually

7. Western Lullabye

Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

Check it cos I know im gonna get a little deep
Gentle words whispered as I lay my head to sleep
A sombre tone in my voice for the times spent alone
Zoned out, tuned in to these thoughts that I own
Prone to analyse, criticize through blood stained eyes
Dissect lies, speak truths and aim for the grand prize
Appreciate life and everything it offers me
Stay ahead of the game trying to avoid hypocrisy
Drifting in the subconscious, shadows move eerily
Move with a purpose, suppressing any fear in me
Cos theres a battle round the corner – and a new day dawning
Until then I rest and dream of a brand new morning

At the end of the day, before you drift to sleep
On your feet, in your bed, on a couch or on the street
Take a step, make a pact to finish what you’ve started
Cos if lifes what you make it, don’t take it for granted…

As the sun goes down guns drawn cocked and shot
Whisþ's all I got to make things seem lìke therc not
I count the grains that the hourglass has sifted
And wait for the weights to be lifted
The spurs on my boots create a rhythm as I walk
And dreams see life as imagination sport
Today I'll drown in blood from a well aimed gun battle
Whilst I rest my head on a sweat stained rum saddle
Tears will hitthe dirt and turn dust to sorrow
But this was only today I've still got tomorow
Theres a battlo round the corner and a new day dawning
Until then I'll rest and dream of a brand new morning

Before you drift to sleep
Hear the voices speak
Like whispers in the wind
it's a lullabye we sing

It’s a crossroad and your left without a guide
by your side u got the voices from above and behind
Unperturbed, yet somewhat disturbed
These are familiar themes like the fairytales you’ve heard
Absurd stories woven together in a lullaby
Whilst another night spent dreaming starts to flutter by
A lone ranger, one hand poised above the hip
Full clip, buts he’s quick, never lets his cards slip
Cos its one for the quick draw, two for the trouble
Like the ok corrall with a three day stubble
Cos theres a battle round the corner – and a new day dawning
Until then I rest and dream of a brand new morning

8. Summertime
Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

Sit back relax and let yourself unwind
Its summertime… and it’s a good time!

From the down south crew catching waves down at Goolwa
To the newer suburbs springing up pushing drives too far
It’s the urban sprawl madness in a city that loves hip hop
Coopers pale ale… “That’s a nice drop”
Per capita it’s the holy ground that we walk upon
With the heads for the beats this is how we get along
Last stop before antactica in the winter I feel the chill
Drinking still but its warmer inside looking out the window sill
Dreamin of sumer days, no hazy shades of grey
just a steaming haze of sunshine glimmering down by the bay
it’s a summer day anthem, heat waves holding ransom
catch me a bar at for some drinks lookin handsome!

From the city of churches comes these rhythmic researchers
Sipping pale ales whilst scripting the verses
And from Blackwood to Brighton we just keep writing
To enlighten the summer flavours that we're enciting
From the heart of Glenelg seems like the whole world
Is chillin in the sun the surf and the swell
The trams are packed, the streets are crammed
Hot chicks are walking past on demand
Straight from the beach to bust some fat beats
We'll have a bbq with the NBBC crew
Beers, wines, what ever we can find
Cos our motto is the chorus line for line

I got Fridays on my mind, sinking beers in large sips
Gimme star wars pinball and a serve of fish and chips
I got nights out on my mind and plenty of road trips
Gimme car horns, bright lights and some tartare dip
Quick wit and we’re rockin it’s the city of our youth
All year round its like dons party “bloody uncouth”
There’s smell in the air that kinda smells like home
With a party, a barbie, or some of the home grown
Suits yourself, step right in and pull up a seat
We got the city that’s bumpin to the sound of the devils beats
So step inside my world where the women are gorgeous
grab a map and head south and just join in the chorus

We got the east end, we got the west end
We got the balls in between, a quick geography lesson
And the hills are alive in a sea of the vines
And the city's awash with red and white wine
We've been SA great since back in 1988
The festival state, we're Mr Percival mate
Weather the storm boy, soak up them rays
Cos it feels like it's been shining for days and days and days
Reach out, breathe in, exhale
Cos the good times are just about to sail
Summer in demand, the sun the surf the sand
Get your radio out, pump the volume and...

9. Miss Perfect

Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

I saw her at the club at the bar near the beach
she was lookin pretty hot but she was kinda outta reach
I looked over at Leroy and nudged him in the chest
he looked straight over and like me he was impressed
cos like a diamond in the rough this girl had it all
the looks, the poise, she was slender and tall
I tried to gain composure as I sipped on my drink
I took one step closer I stopped to think
What will I say and will it come out right
visions filled my head I’m seein stars in the night.
I turn back to Leroy for some helpful advice
Just go talk to her man, I’m sure she’s pretty nice

Visions of Miss Perfect filling my sights
Planets in alignment like moving satellites
She’s a beauty queen and I’m the shining knight?
Miss Perfect it’s a perfect night

What are you waiting for man you got nothing to lose
Grow some nuts hit the bar sink a few more brews
I've never seen you like this you're talking like a virgin
Pale face a mound in your pants where the bloods surging
This is embarrassing I don't know where to look
Your rods in the boat before your fish is on the hook
What's that all about has it been a while?
Hold up one sec mate your really cramping my style
Yeh somy mate I didn't mean to hit a sore point
Just don't tum around you'll knock everyone over in the joint
Now pluck up some courage you've had time to think
Miss Perfect's over there and she's givin you the wink

Well, it was the point of no return, should I take the first step
I got a couple more doubts that I need to correct
I just hope she doesn’t take herself too seriously
... nah man, she’s sexy, but somewhat mysterious...
yeah? that’s the type of girl i’m looking for,
a girl that’s smart, that loves the outdoors,
someone down to earth and someone pretty funny
and one that doesn’t mind the seat up on the dunny
Confidence in herself, but without pretention
caring and honest, with the looks to mention
an independent woman, with no bagage claims,
one part of an equal union both holding the reins

Now I hyped up Dormy maybe a little too much
He wasn't thinking clearly he was driven by his crutch
He slammed three tequilas and he marched off quick
He arrived on the dancefloor with a hop and a skip
Real slick as the brother pulled out all the moves
He couldn't believe it he was actually gonna tune
What happened next you'd never guess she had fake breasts
And his hand felt nuts when it slipped up her dress
Miss Perfect wasn't Miss Perfect after all
In fact Miss was a mister and he was goin bald

10. Beats 'til Dawn

Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

All across the world from the US to UK
We eat and we drink the finest like a soufflé
Parties outta hand a fiasco like Lupe
And the rhythm is alive with every track we play
That’s right you know its all about the time to socialise
Feel the vibes, let em rise there’s no if buts or whys
Come together for the beats and stay for the rhymes
The doors are always open when the parties at mine…
Theres no closing time here where there’s beats till dawn
A party ain’t a party till the early morn
With leroy on the phone talking wallaby gold rush
And at 7am I spin a little Krush

Gather round cos we're having a party
Out in the sunshine

Party shoes are shuffling the champagnes bubblin
I think ûo myself I might get some summer lovin'
Something I start pumping
The music up to get the crowd to stårt jumping
Hands in the air we salute the groove
And if this night never ends it will still be too soon
I heard shots out the back on the bbq
Me and a few crew, had a few too brews to
Move too let the booze do what we choose too
Then try and work out who's who
The sun is still shining the night is still young
So come and join us now and we'll have some fun

Movin' thru the crowd, hot potato and I lock it
A beer in my hand and my ipod in my pocket
Beats so freaking hot snoop dogg has gotta drop it
And the vibe is so alive mc hammer couldn’t stop it (what?)
I know I’m talking crap but I still know how to rock it
when u party with us do what ya like and don’t knock it
Get deep in a convo; tap a rhythm like a bongo
Eatin' fresh bananas like gorillas in the Congo
Blackcurrant with a beer and a half a glass of strongbow
Large it up or hooch it out like your name is Douglas Hondo
Its good fruit, good rhymes, good beats, great times
Blue skies, cold beer, sweet wines, all cheer

11. Jazz Club

Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

Welcome
To The Jazz Club
The House of One Love
So come and gather round,
check it out, it’s a brand new sound

Verse 1 - AD
Stage lights up as the curtains draw back
Pursed lips, deep breaths, bout to bust on the sax
Got the full band here, even the funky piano
And mike t’s kickin the pedal with a worn out sandshoe!
Cos its toe tappin’, hand clappin’, time to shake your rump
It’s jive talkin, pimp walkin time to skip and jump
It’s the awesome foursome jammin’ guaranteed to fill a room
we go together like long haul flights and david boon
cos the crowd feeds off solos, shows respect with applause’n’
there’s a lineup outside that’s gone from tens to scores,
cos there’s pure disregard for the liquor license laws,
Encores of course, cos this shows without flaws, say...

Welcome everybody please get ready to swing
Cos it 1950’s flavour and suits and hats are bling
the ladies are elegant, well mannered and eligible
And this song’s poetical and our rhymes intelligible
Mike T brushes the skins, a thoughtful mood lingers
And the Cat plucks the strings like he’s got a hundred fingers
AD engages the audience, the atmosphere’s indelible
And I grab the mic and croon a peaceful melody
da da dad a da dada

Accommodating and infiltrating lives through the rhyme
Kickin it every evening locked in 4-4 time
The beer soaked floor smells of plenty’a’good times
Cos its where the people meet to share a few good wines
Circulated rumours spread as the spotlight starts to warm
Itching for a closer look the crowd begin to swarm
Amongst the cast of thousands there’s one man that stands proud
His time has come to spread the word, and spread the word loud
He steps from the shadows to reveal his chiselled features
He’s a man of many words, delivered in rhyme not speeches
The time is almost nigh, it’s the one they’ve come to see
So check this solo on the mic from my partner Leroy C

Smoke streams, rays appear almost illuminescent
The lone fire place burns an aura, incandescent
Peter stuyvesent takes the smell of whisky hostage
While a sharp scent from the powder room invades the nasal passage
the dancefloor seems to harbour a quiet electricity
and the bar lends support to a host of eccentricty
up on stage like a jukebox the band played all requests
until it was taken over, by four gentlemen, well dressed
We caress the stage with a presence not anticipated
and the dim light compliments us, as if it was pre-meditated
stabs on the high hat seem to get the spats tapping
and people practising the rhythm while they start clapping
i think our next show will be sure, to have presold tickets
a positive indication when we’re strewn in ladies knickers
flash photography and reporters, eagerly scribbling staedelers
thankyou ladies and gentlemen, we’re A Devil Amongst The Tailors

12. Two Left Feet

Produced by A. Dormand
Mixed by Darren Thompson, M. Thomson, A.Dormand

Yeah I got 2 left feet and you know I can’t dance
I could stumble I could fall and that’s a big chance
But I seek the chosen guru on my path self enhance
With my pants round my legs stuck inside some kinda trance
Need to find a style that suits and groove and move until dawn
A master of disaster mowin floors like lawn
Searchin for the guide but the road maps been torn
Thru the valleys I travel for the secret that’s been sworn
in the snow, in the wind in rain, hail or shine
in lightning, in thunder, it’s the moves im trying to find
feel the rhythm as ya livin maybe try and bump and grind
and if ya can’t get with that just clap your hands in time

Step to left, step to the back
Roll to the right put you hands together clap clap
Step to the right, step to left
Shimmy to the left put your hands together clap clap

Verse Coming Soon

Blistering manoeuvres twist and turn like a tuba
Lube ya shoes, click ya heels and kiss goodbye ya moody blues
You can choose a funky rhythm, whatever will suffice
Individual styles come together cos “it’s nice”
Lesson from the greats passed down the generations
A blood line of groove found throughout the many nations
No need for permission so forget your inhibitions
I’m in a position that you’re wishing like a total body submission
To the beat, the flow, and interpretive quest
Tongue in cheek I rock a rhythm and the rhythm is at its best
Like I'm blessed with a gift but you don’t know what you’re missing
Shiftin' gears on the rhythm, come on and listen
